Design Trends for the Fall

It is hard to believe that summer is almost over. With fall quickly approaching its time to talk autumn trends! There is no doubt that fall calls for rich colors and cozy fabrics and this season we are still seeing lots of velvets. Navy, maroon and black are some of the stand out colors that are making statement.

The next trend that we are seeing are oversized florals. We are seeing them in wallpapers, pillows, fabrics and wall art. This romantic trend is absolutely timeless and makes the perfect statement. Often these prints are on done on black which makes the florals pop even more.

Next, we are moving onto blacks, whites and neutrals. Bringing together different elements that create a simple yet sophisticated look. Highlighting earth tones with a bold hint of black or white as accent will anchor the room and create a warm and welcoming environment.

Going along with neutrals tropical greenery is here to stay. Greenery helps bring the outdoors in and they will help enhance your space helping bring your home to life. Not to mention plants help cleanse the air reducing carbon dioxide levels and eliminate certain pollutants and dust. Aside from neutrals we are still seeing a presence from pinks and pops of gold. Dusty pinks help lighten the mood of a space and gold accents compliment these pink tones very well. These colors also match well with greys creating the perfect harmony!

Lastly, don’t forget about lighting! We are seeing lots of sleek modern LED lighting this fall. This trend is fashion forward yet simple. This type of lighting takes up less space and is very elegant and easy on the eyes.

We hope your transition into fall is filled with rich colors and new design ideas! Pick up a pumpkin spice latte and come browse our showroom for all your interior needs!

Today's Home Furniture

When my parents, Sigmund and Audrey Lenchner, both Taylor Allderdice graduates, founded Today’s Home, they had a vision to enrich the lives of area families by bringing true quality home furnishings to Western Pennsylvania. Over the decades, Today’s Home has emerged as a true “family business” success story. Through the years, our dedicated employees have managed to grow the company in an age dominated by big box retailing and mega chains.

Now Today’s Home, with its roots firmly planted in the luxury residential furnishings market, has additional operating companies in Designer Furniture Outlet Stores and TH TRADE Commercial. DFO has become the luxury closeout treasure-hunter’s favorite haunt. Our newest addition, TH TRADE, provides ASID level design to our commercial contract customers. We invite you to contact a Today’s Home designer to visit our showroom and see the world of possibilities awaiting you at Today’s Home.
